Judith Lee Schuck Dyke, age 72, of Maumelle, formerly of Council Bluffs, Iowa, passed away June 23, 2019 at home after a courageous battle with cancer. Judy was born July 9, 1946 in Shenandoah, Iowa to Ernie and Virginia (Golden) Schuck.

While a freshman in high school, she won a trophy in a dance contest between students from Sidney and Fremont Mills. She was also on the Homecoming Court that year and enjoyed playing on the basketball team. During her senior year, she was Snow Queen of the Christmas Dance. During summer breaks from school, she earned money detasseling corn and ushering at the Sidney Rodeo. She was a member of the Methodist Church and attended MYF. Growing up on three farms, she and her sister enjoyed helping their parents with yard work. They moved to town during her freshman year.

She worked in Council Bluffs, Iowa as a beautician for 23 years, and was self-employed at Crystal Comb and Beauty Emporium.

During her daughter’s growing up in Iowa, Judy never missed an opportunity to attend Shelley’s piano, band, cheerleading, pompom and dance events. She even designed and made the cheerleading outfits for the 8th grade squad. In January of 1989, Judy and Kieth moved to Maumelle due to Kieth’s job transfer. From 1990-2000, she worked at Champs Sporting Goods. In 2000-2001 she attended Baptist School of Nursing where she earned a degree in Histotechnology. Judy was ambitious, warm and kind, and a joy to be around. She was creative, enjoying cake decorating, oil painting, sewing, landscaping, designing Christmas trees, and making flower arrangements. She especially enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.
