Susan Kempton Travis, age 72 of Thurman, IA, died Monday, September 7, 2020 at Glen Haven Home in Glenwood, IA following a brief illness. Her many hobbies included painting landscapes, etc. She was an avid arrowhead hunter and found many. She was a beautiful seamstress, and made most of her children's clothing when they were small. Most of all she loved flowers and tending to them both in the house and outside in the garden. She enjoyed going to flea markets in Whitecloud and Brownville. Yearly vacations included grandchildren going to Wisconsin, Colorado, Washington State, Idaho and Yellowstone Park. She and Glen vacationed in North Carolina when their children were young. Her dream vacation with Glen was traveling to Ireland, Scotland, and England in 2000. There were many stories to tell about their vacations.
